The Black Aspen Studio is owned by Moira Leclerc, an Illustrator, Graphic Designer, and self-described “serial hobbyist” living in Upstate NY. Graduating from Montserrat College of Art with a BFA in Illustration in 2022, Moira has since delved into art education, fabric arts, and dice crafting. Currently they are studying the art of Circus and Aerial arts, and recently began developing an active circus practice.

 

Moira is inspired by tabletop role-playing games, gothic fiction, and the fantasy genre. Her Illustrations often revolve around worldbuilding and character design, developing layers of story behind each piece.
